In a military aviation career spanning over 23 years; including an exchange tour with the Royal New Zealand Air Force, Steve ‘Imran’ Baker is one of Australia’s leading retired military aviators and ‘Roulette Leader’ – retired lead pilot of the Royal Australian Air Force’s elite aerobatics team ‘The Roulettes.’
His personal journey has been an inspiration to many and he now enjoys sharing his experience for others to connect with. Steve is often engaged to speak on the topic of leadership through adversity and the art of followship to the corporate sector.
Having spent eleven seasons with the Roulettes with six of those seasons as Roulette Leader (R1), Steve was also a member of the Royal New Zealand Air Force low-level formation aerobatic team- The Black Falcons, flying as Black 3 while on exchange.
From flying Caribou tactical aircraft to PC9/A’s, Hawks and F/A18’s: Steve become one of the youngest RAAF aircraft instructors since World War II at the age of 23; and has clocked over 5500 military flying hours.
Steve is an avid professional photographer, enjoys golf and riding his Ducati Streetfighter.
